I’ve lived this
In the home I left, the one I’d lived in for more than 20 years, one room had always been entirely mine: my home office and guest space. When I moved, it was the first room I felt at ease making mine again. Every other room I set up the way I always had, for a life with someone else in it, because that’s where my head still was.
